project: Jewish United fund (juf), a philanthropic address for Chicago's Jewish community and one of the largest not-for-profit social welfare institutions in Illinois, had a training manual for their development team. As you know, the training manual was super cutting edge and popular with employees in 1870. But, in 2021, most of JUF’s employees discarded the manual and went straight to their sole educational resource, rachel. This was becoming poor Rachel’s second full-time job. So, it was necessary to turn JUF’s beloved training manual into an interactive online experience for the 21st century.
From mapping out their ui in figjam to tapping into my elementary hebrew and yiddish while writing the content, i worked with the designers and developers to create a fun and engaging educational experience for future juf employees. this site enabled juf to easily onboard new development team members and easily introduce them to the fundamental principles of fundraising at JUF, much to the relief of rachel (and the pride of my bubbe).
